About United Elite
The mission of United Elite is to raise awareness among all athletes about the benefits of gymnastics training. Our objective is to develop each athlete physically and mentally so that they will achieve success on and off the competition floor.
Gymnasts, and other athletes who train with us to
supplement their regular training,
notice an increase in their range of
motion, stamina, balance and strength.

Igor Carvalho
Girls Gymnastics Team
*27 years of experience coaching competitive gymnastics
*2007 - American Challenge Champion, US Challenge 3rd place finisher
*2006 - Two US Challenge athletes finished in top 13
*2005 - Gymnastics college scholarships for several gymnasts, USA finalist, US Classic Top 10 Finalist, Level 10 Sr National Team Champion, Level 10 Jr National Team Champion, Level 9 Regional and Western National Qualifiers
*2004 - Level 10 Sr National Qualifier, Level 10 Regional Balance Beam Champion, Level 8 Regional Qualifiers, Level 7 State All Around Champion and State Balance Beam and Floor Champion
*Has coached several National and State Champions
*1984-1994 - Was the Brazilian Men's and Women's National Team Coach
*Bachelor's and Master's of Science in Physical Science and Accounting
Denise Hedges
Girls Gymnastics Team
*Has been coaching competitive gymnastics for over 20 years in the North Texas area.
*Currently the Head Girls Gymnastics Coach for Rockwall High School.
*Coached many state, regional and national qualifiers.
*Was a competitive gymnast in the Dallas/Ft Worth area from 1980-1987.
*Earned a B.A. in Mass Communications from Midwestern State University.

John Steward
Girls Gymnastics Team/T.O.P.S./Tumbling
Competitive gymnast for 15 years.
I started in 1986 and finished in 2001, after a severe knee injury. I believe that God has given me a gift, not just of coaching gymnastics but of impacting the lives of everyone I come in contact with. My goal is to create a workout environment that teaches kids and parents about positive behavior, discipline, teamwork motivation, respect and ultimately to reach success in all parts of their life

Has been coaching for Women’s Artistic Gymnastics for 10 years.
Was on the Philippine Women’s Artistic Gymnastics National Team for 10 years.
Ranked number One in the Philippines for 8 years
Represents the country in various international competitions such us the South East Asian Games, Asian Games, World Championships, Pacific Alliance.
Four-time South East Asian Games Gold/Silver Medalist.
Chosen as Philippine representative to various competitions in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, India, China, Korea, Hong Kong, Romania, Canada, Australia, Switzerland, Nevada, and California.
USAG safety certified.
Gymnastics Australia WAG Level 1 accredited.
Accredited by the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines as a WAG National Judge (F.I.G)
Accredited by Cheerleading Philippines and the International Federation of Cheerleading.

25 years coaching experience in dance, gymnastics and competitive cheerleading. Attended Texas Womans University, pursuing a degree in dance, minor in gymnastics with emphasis in the study of education. Former choreographer and performer at Six Flags Over Texas. Coaching staff of the year 2000 at American Cheer Power with over 50 national championship titles. 2006 USASF competitive cheerleading world's top 10 finalist (coach/choreographer).
